Something about 40 makes me want to shout and do a happy dance. I wish I was this focus early on in my life. Not having too many regrets but with the knowledge I have now, wish I had that in my 20’s. I was a mom at 18, no regrets there. I have a beautiful daughter who have contributed to my growing up.
When I hit the 30’s, nothing felt different. I even forgot a couple times that I was the big 30. You often have to act your age,not sure what that quite meant. I just loved being me. My second daughter was born, changed my life. Lots of life changing events in the thirties. I’m somewhat a single mom or some might say on social media “relationship status” complicated.
Finally 40 and what a difference. Never thought 40 would be this good. I’m more motivated that I have ever been. It’s so funny now when you see your guy watching a younger chick you just smile and there is no jealously, an you say good luck with that. You so much more focus on important issues rather than petty shit,no drama, you feel sexier, you laugh harder, your confidence level is at an all time high and most of all you don’t give a shit about what people say, do or think. Forty is freaking fabulous!!!!
Every time a woman turns 40, a Cougar is Born.
The four letter word “LOVE” is so powerful yet taken for granted. We use it everyday sometimes meaningful or meaningless. I like to think love is sacred, and should be used in a meaningful manner at all times. There is no better way to describe love better than from The book of Corinthians verse 13..4..8 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always preserve. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled;where there is knowledge, it will pass way.
Brown, black, grey or green, the eyes always tell a story. If we look deep at a person we can see right through them, their heart, soul mine and body language. The eyes speak quicker than the mouth. Don’t let your eyes tell your story unless you want too. Smokey or soft, just a hint of color on the eyes can change the way we feel and get through our day.
“The eyes shout what the lips fear to say.”
Every woman who is a homemaker needs to give herself a pat on the back if nobody else does. As a homemaker I have many jobs or I choose to do many jobs. I like to think of myself as a Jill of all trades, Martha Stewart or Betty Crocker if you will. I babysit to bring in my own income makes me feels very independent. On my spare time on evenings I enjoy the garden. Having my children I like them to know where their food comes from. When my daughter was two I started doing one vegetable per growing season and now she is ten and loves learning about her Veggies and best of all she loves eating it. Homemakers should never feel they are limited to just looking after the kids or tidying the house, watching tv or getting their nails done. On the spare time pick up a class..cooking maybe, sewing, be your neighbors dog walker… Or just videos on something you are passionate about and surprise the hubby or the kids. Their reaction priceless. Don’t miss the opportunity to become a Jill of all trades!!!!
For many the weekend is just another day! Sleep in late or wish you could, pray the hubby fills the kettle to make coffee, long for breakfast in bed, maybe early morning sex. Instead you get up early make breakfast, get the kettle going, forget the sex and set the table. So much for the weekend!
I can’t wait for the weekend so I can sit at home and wish I something better to do.
Another night, gazing out the window, sifting out thoughts and actions on how the day was spent. A woman’s brain never sleeps, it’s impossible to compare us to any creature. Whilst our body may be tired, our thoughts are strong.
A woman is like a tea bag, you can’t tell how strong she is until you put her in hot water.
